Simulation Study on Image Characteristics of Typical GPR Targets in Water Conservancy Projects

With the development of global economy, deep leakage reservoirs is still a serious threat to foundation construction key water conservancy projects such as dam foundations and bridges. Ground penetrating radar (GPR) an effective underground imaging detection technology. In this paper, Groundvue series ground radars introduced in Britain using 948 project fund Ministry Water Resources. It with lowest frequency world at present, improving depths helping ensure reliability reservoir dam’s foundation. Through large number field tests, simulation experiments, FDTD numerical simulations, practical engineering applications, paper summarizes analysis method based on radar. The successful application Nanmenxia Reservoir shows that can effectively detect location path provide technical support for design reinforcement project.
